That looks a good day out Roger. Not sure I can make it, but might try and see how the land lies at home!! _________________ Born to rally, forced to work!

Just hope the weather holds out for the next few days.
Don't even mind if it's cloudy, as long as the cloud base is high and it doesn't rain |

Are you definately going Roger? I might chat to the missus and see if she fancies a nice 'family' day out in the Manta!! What time are you arriving?

We went to Duxford yesterday and I had a flight in a Tiger Moth - absolutely brilliant! I got to fly it too; up/down, left/right and flew over Audley End House which we visited this morning before going back to Duxford to finish looking around. Saw a P47 Thunderbolt being put through its paces; hefty great thing but quite agile. I wish we could go Sunday but we've a Club planning meeting to go to - talk about bad planning....
If you go to Duxford on Sunday, take lots to drink as it gets very, very hot there! |

Hi Dave
The gates open, gate one, at 0930 for classic entries.
I'll be getting there about that time, I prefer to arrive early to shows, save sitting, and getting hot in Traffic.
As long as it's not raining I will be going, forecast looks good, broken cloud and 20% chance of rain. |

Oh dangly things
Just been down to Maldon shopping and the car has started running rough.
Dave,
I'll check it out later and let you know if sorted for tomorrow.
Give it an hour to cool down. |

Hope you get it sorted Roger. I really fancy this, but got to persuade the family. Not certain I will be there, but I'll work on it today and might see you there. Is there a special entry gate for classics do you know, or just turn up and hope they recognise the car as a classic?

Cars sorted, adjusted the float level, it was set before but depending on how tight the cover bolt was tightened could upset the settings, so played with it for a while, hold down bolt nice and tight and now not flooding, short spin and AOK.
I hope.
As to the classics gate, not the main entrance just off the motorway, last time I attended a show, with EC, it was a gate the other end past the american hanger.
I would recon it'll be sign posted.
My email said
09:30 the gates open but try to be there before 12:30
so a good time window. |
