Today was the annual Betws y Coed classic car show and among the many fine vehicles on show was one which was rare even when it was available new in 1967/68.

This one is a December 1st 1967 registered Singer Vogue Estate with the 1725cc engine. My cousin and her husband bought a new Singer Vogue saloon in May 1968, gunmetal grey with a red interior - GFF 412F but the estate was rarely ordered even then, customers choosing the Hillman Hunter version instead.
The owner of the one in the photograph informed me that this particular car the only one on the DVLA database which is currently MOT'd and taxed.[/img] _________________ Starting Handle Expert

Not sure if it was the same year, but my dad had one - the only car he ever bought new, sadly if there are any photos they're well hidden but more likely lost in a succession of house moves. Rot in the tailgate killed that one, apparently it was a common problem |

Don't believe everything you see on the DVLA site! I sold my 1968 Vogue estate a couple of years ago, and certainly, as of last month, it was still taxed and on the road. Here it is a couple of years ago:
At that time I knew of seven estates that were still on the road, and DVLA listed just two of them
edit: Just found a list I made at the time -these were six of them, the seventh was one I saw locally but did not make a note of the number:
NOG 51F
NAO 472F
UGF 924F
LDX 331G
MTF 201G
VYA 838G |
