Bought this of ebay at the weekend , this is what a 30s van should look like, three vans on Ebay all proclaiming to be made in 1936 ! , look how this Eccles has clean lines balanced ,in proportion , single skin body , disc wheels, well thought out interior , super lightweight , tows superb, and the final touch an i.d. plate with the date of manufacture ! ok some later add ons leading on the windows , rose covered wall paper, but nothing that cannot be put right OVM Very Happy

We saw this van at our club stand in the Stourport on Severn rally and its a very nice caravan. Mostly original, with a few bits that needed attention. The interior is lovely, well planed out and in great condition. It would make an outstanding caravan with little work.

The only downside I just remembered to this caravan is that a previous owner for some mad reason covered the roof in fibreglass instead of recovering it with original style canvas. That would get on my tits until I got it off and put back a canvas roof. But I think it would be a hard thing to get off.

Am not too bothered about the roof its maintenance free now and most folk would not know any different, the biggest pain is that the silly person over glassed the drain channels these will have to come of to replace the damaged wall panels , so i will have to grind away the fiberglass to get at the drain channels, i probably wont get chance to do this van this year , am going flat out on the Angela, and finishing coco creosoted the underside , and painted the chassis this week got to be one of the dirtiest jobs on a caravan Laughing
