This is a photo of a ford 8, 5cwt. van I bought in 1958, for private use. It was dark green in colour, but I painted the top half a lighter shade of green, and put an old bus seat in the back to make it a four seater.

Hi. Rick. No I didn,t put windows in it, I seem to remember if you did that, you had to pay purchase tax, as on cars at the time, but which vans were not subject to.

The Austin 12 in the 'first car I drove thread' was replaced by one of these, based on the MO series Morris Oxford, same colour even. No photos were ever taken of it, so I have had to make to with a brochure illustration from Ebay. I had a few friends with motorbikes at the time, so I was very popular with those with broken bikes and legs Smile :

I've had a Morris Z van a while back, and the Saab 2 stroke many years earlier, but the most recent was this little Ford, now living with a new owner in Cornwall Crying or Very sad
