Hi, I have a Ally fuel tank on a motorcycle that is highly polished.....
my question.....need to keep it polished and would like to "Varnish it"....
having seen the polished finish on Aeroplanes , how do they do it..??...
U can't just keep polishing a jumbo jet......any ideas..??....
When I've painted ally I always used a self-etched primer but what for varnish ???????
any help please.....

thanks Frank

Hi Frank

Eastwoods make a clear coat that can be applied directly to aluminium, I think it's called "diamond coat"' however a tank may be subject to wear on the sides?, so a clear powder coat may be the answer.

Cheers

Dave
