Interesting Ebay item.

Were these Fiats ever sold in the UK?

I don't think so but I willingly open to correction.

They were sold here and were actually made for several years after the saloon was discontinued. The model is the 500K. I think they went on until about 1977 but I guess most of them and all of the later ones would have been LHD.

Right until the end they always had "suicide" doors.
The engine is air-cooled and mounted horizontally under the rear floor and although it shares many of the components of the standard, vertical unit it is a completely different item.

I nearly bought one once and it's the only one I ever saw "in the flesh" but for me, it's too big and the shape and style is not as cute as the 500 N, D or F.

For me that's the problem of most classic station wagons. Most are much more practical than their saloon counterparts, but their ugliness keeps me from wanting them.
In fact I can not think of a classic SW I would like to own.
(with the exception of the the Reliant Scimitar GTE as opposed to the (IMO) uglier SE4 Coupe. But a GTE is not really a station wagon)

Just remembered a Station Wagon I would like: the 1965 Chrysler New Yorker Town & Country.
A true American Land Yacht, big, luxury, fast, clean styling. The complete opposite of a Fiat 500 Giardiniera!
