Very interesting
I think the workshop is a GPO facility in Yealding, vans were sent there for a complete rebuild and a fresh paint job. Looks as if it was almost a production line!

They were like a production line Dave, I went for an interview to the GPO workshop at Caversham (Reading) before I left school on 1966 and that was on similar lines. Both Post Office and Telephone vehicles were repaired and the apprenticeship included body building and painting besides the mechanical and electrical side of things as well. Five of us were interviewed for two posts, the eldest two were chosen as we all passed the test, however I got a job with the local BMC commercial dealer so ended up working on similar vehicles!
