hi, we do not know what year other than 1959 or before as we know where it had been for those years. we have been told it maybe a clubman, it maybe a carousel. its only peoples ideas. we know it was made for the finance director of carcruiser, it has may extras, a fitted
toilet,ha ha a galvernised lined cool box under the van, wine rack magazine rack , a cut glass dresser unit a pedal bin. we are interested in your views, thanks Gary & Lynne |

As I've said via emails , it has to be a one off for the director of the company. I've never seen side strips like that on any Car Cruiser, It has no name badges either end and the interior looks like nothing I have seen before. Also the size is not a regular offering. _________________ I can resist anything except temptation ! ( Oscar Wilde)

hi thanks for your replies, started some more work today,we removed the china cabinet although we forgot to take the complete before pictures, the bottom part has the pull down wine rack and then double doors which could take china as a normal dresser, on top but attached is the china cabinet which would have taken the car cruiser china which we don't have, but would like if anybody has a set they would like to sell. we then could remove the wooden side panel. underneath most of the wood is great, just one small bit near the wheel arch, so good news. tomorrow we will take out the seat box. it was being difficult today some of the screws just would not come out so we will drill them out tomorrow. the front part of the seat area is quite bad on the panelling but time will tell when the front side comes off. hope you are enjoying our restoration. ok welder came today haray, the a frame is not a problem he can do that so we have to drop the a frame down and take it to his workshop. he is not sure if the hitch will go again and the other one we have is two wide so that a no go. Gary thinks maybe an oil bath might help it so we will see. after he has done the a frame he will look at the rear legs to see if he can reproduce them. the front ones run on some angle iron and he thinks they will be ok so that's good.
drilling out the screws today, they are very stubborn. how long to get the a frame off, well how long is a piece of string. |

Soak the hitch in a mix of diesel and oil, that will shift anything. _________________ I can resist anything except temptation ! ( Oscar Wilde)

HI BACK FROM A FEW DAYS AWAY THIS IS AN UPDATE. WARDROBE OUT WITHOUT DAMAGE. AND PART OF THE TOILET WALL SO NOW YOU CAN VIEW INTO TOILET FROM SIDE AND YOU CAN SEE THE DAMAGE. TOILET CAME OUT WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE SURROUND AND THE ORIGINAL LINO CAME UP WITHOUT DAMAGE SO THAT CAN GO BACK DOWN. WE HAVE PICTURES OF ITEMS TAKEN OUT AND STORED IN SHED. GETTING THE SCREWS OUT HAS BEEN REALLY DIFFICULT.[img] [/img][img] [/img][img] [/img][img] [/img] |
