That price is a little over the market value.
But if the person does not want to travel out of his house, does not have any contacts to ask for such an item or wants it in a hurry then that is what he is willing to pay for a diff with this ratio.
3.9 or 3.7 ratio diffs are very popular with A35 owners or Morris Minor owners.
MG Magnette owners fit 3.9 MGB diffs from the mid 1960`s to gear up their cars.
I have picked these up from £30.00 to £120.00 depending how quick I need one.

It never ceases to amaze me how much some stuff sells for on ebay:
We recently had a new kitchen fitted, the kitchen company quoted for a skip to remove the old kitchen units....So I said I'd dispose of the old kitchen, stuck it on ebay no reserve with a 99p start, thinking if I get 99p for them, I'd save the cost of a skip...I was amazed what they went for......

That was without the granite, which I have not had chance to list yet...

Nice one
When we moved here, there was an old greenhouse (maybe 8ft long), several broken panes of glass and generally "tired". I did the same, 99p start, making it clear that the buyer would have to dismantle it and take the lot away. It sold for about £100 I think, the buyer collected it (breaking a few more panes of glass in the process) and took it away - result!
