CAN ANYONE HELP WITH IDENTIFYING THIS OLD AXLE PLEASE?
IT IS STAMPED AS 708905 R
I KNOW IT'S A LONG SHOT BUT FROM WHAT I'VE READ, THIS IS THE PLACE TO FIND PEOPLE IN THE KNOW.

The shape of the diff housing suggests Ford. I am very familiar with Model A which looks similar, and I know that other models, including U.K. ones were of a similar shape. AFAIK all Fords used ferrous metal for the case, but maybe some of the small U.K. models used a non-ferrous case.
Is there evidence of spring mountings on the brake backplates? _________________ Dane- roverdriver but not a Viking. |

Do you have a photo of the whole axle, A few dimensions, width?, might help as to the size of vehicle we are looking for.
Have a browse of the Relaint axles, Robin, Regal etc.
Edit: that should be Reliant, as in three wheelers
