Sorry, I wasn't aware of the problem.
While I am here, like the other Rochdale owner, I need two side windows from an Austin A30 / A35 / Farina, or Morris Traveller / van stainless jobs.
Thanks
Andrew

Hi Rick
Change the colour of the Sticky to Bright Red and a bigger font, see if that helps. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

| Could you make the for sale / wanted a members only section? |

| Or go the opposite way and make it open to all. |

There's no way I'd open up forum posting to anyone regardless of whether they'd registered or not! I'd be sat here 24/7 keeping it shipshape.
I regularly get rogue processes trying to log in here and there to do mischief as it is, without the username/password barrier things would soon go awry. I had to modify the registration side of things a few years ago because of problems with spammers, email harvesters etc etc trying to get on and cause mischief, spam registered members' email addresses and so on.

You do a great job Rick, cultivating and maintaining this forum and we all benefit from your "eagle eyes".
From my experience it seems that there is a relatively small number of regular posters but a large number of people who watch or pass by.
That's an OK arrangement and I agree that it would be distracting and against the general flow of this EXCELLENT forum just to let anyone dive in and try to get something out without putting anything in. |

I am admin/mod on a very popular 4x4 forum and agree with rick about not opening the forum to all.
the best solution we came up with was to keep the main team of admins but create a few more mods who could assist with the rouge items being posted etc.
we also introduced a procedure where new members needed to make 3 posts that required approval by the admin/mod team before they could make open forum posts and gain access to the for sale/wanted area.
keep up the great work rick
