I must admit I was sooo tempted to put in a bid, but my other half said my balls would be forfeit if I did, have three already. If you need a chat about anything feel free to PM me and can exchange phone numbers.

No, I'm not really David, I prefer to use my van rather than polish it! It gets a seasonal wash in March, and another in October, unless it gets particularly dirty in between. But bear in mind that when you last saw my van it was in middle of a strenuous European tour! (Which it will be doing again this year, so will probably be dirty in Holland!) I did wash it on site in Scotland, as I only then realised how bad the roof was, There were some particularly mucky trees in Czech republic!
No, what I meant was that it would not have taken the seller long to make the CC look a little better.
Selling is all about presentation!

Presenting vehicles for sale was covered in another posting about people who sell cars on Ebay and do not even bother to take them out of the garage to photograph them.

Or give them a wash.

If this was my caravan and I wanted to sell it I would have power washed it.
Filled a couple of bin liners with the rubbish inside the caravan.
Hoovered it out, and cleaned the windows.

But then again if the person selling this caravan had the get up and go like I have they would not have let it get in the condition it is in, and perhaps kept it looking smart and useable.

What a interesting van, i did not bid as i needed to have a look at it
so i rang a club member who volunteered to view the van , only to be told that the owner was out on the afternoon it finished ! never mind
i had a discussion with club historian , and the consensus is it could be a 1949 Claridan , the Splendid has the wrong bay windows , and the van in the pic above is the Astoria this is to long, hope this helps ....OVM

I fully understand and agree with your comments about getting items ready to sell. The owner of the eBay caravan had just bought the house and found the caravan under all the rubbish in the garden! His sole interest was clearing it! Here is a picture of the end window if it helps with identification. I did not measure how long it was but it appeared shorter than the 'van in the old photo.
