What a waste - not a Jaguar in sight!!!
How would you like to have brought this property !

Imagine … you're going to live in Portugal .
You find a lovely farmhouse set on a decent plot of land. The place has been
empty for 15 years...
While exploring your new property you find a large barn.
The door is padlocked and welded shut and it's all rusted solid.
So you grind the padlock and the welds off and.........

Check this site !!!

I don't know whether you will laugh or cry but this is too good to leave on the jag site I lifted it from.

Take care,

Alan

Hi

I think there was a topic about this a few months ago, or maybe that was a different forum I was reading?! I believe there was a huge hunt for where this barn was located!

Either way an amazing surprise, I would be more than happy with just the shed!

Cheers

Alan

Thanks for finding these pics again. I posted a link to a Spanish forum where I first saw these, and the pics were then pulled from the site. I have been keeping an eye out for them ever since.

The shed is in Portugal........

Rick is travelling around Portugal........

I wonder......!!!

just shows what goes around comes around. This is totally new to me but there must be a story behind this. I mean I done one mini and then I've got the jag on the go now but how do you amass what seems to be 100's of cars ..... legally and then just leave them there.

I downloaded google earth to see if it could pick up the shed but the one I downloaded wanted a subscription so I deleted it...

Oh well back to the day job....... stripping.

I couldn't find any sign of the big car collection when we were there sadly. Still lots of scrapyards around, if you avoid the areas being levelled for development. We drove past plenty that could have had interesting old tin in the back corners but didn't have time to stop at them all. They'll require a return trip I think..

Sadly enough, our scrapyards are disappearing. They are closing down all over the country, with the bulk of their stock being crushed. The Environmental groups have made it too hard (or too expensive) to comply with all the regulations.
I remember 20 years ago, a yard on the edge of town that was FULL of 55-56-57 Chevys, sedans, convertibles, wagons. Some hulks, some fairly complete. But it`s all gone now....a warehouse sits there now.
