Are there any other Gumdrop fans in the house?

I fear Mr Biro's efforts have a lot to answer for in this house, having been brought up on a great number of Austin Heavy Twelve-Four stories Smile

We love them!

Rich (my son) has two customers with them. One a new hood.

And the other a complete retrim as original.

They're incredibly well made and beautifully proportioned IMO. One of the best lookers or their era.

I have fond memories of my Windsor saloon, which was painted in a similar blue/grey to Gumdrop (many years before Gumdrop came on the scene, I might add!).

So much so that I bought a miniature Gumdrop to remind me!

I was a big Gumdrop fan when I was younger, and had all the books Smile

I was sad to read that Val Biro died earlier this month.

I saw the program,I didn't know he'd died. I hadn't realised Gumdrop was a very real car either, rather a sad end to the program but at least his work lives on.
