You should have no problem at all in getting a Heritage Certificate from BMIHT. They have full records for all post war Triumphs up to 1984. You can apply for a Certificate on line via the following link (just select the specific type of Certificate you want and fill in the required details):

The only significant detail you need is the chassis / commission number. This will be on the V5 and should also be on a data plate which I expect is in the engine bay (if it is like a on TR).
