Try a classic Land Rover supplier. I'm sure I have seen them on some series Land Rovers _________________ I can resist anything except temptation ! ( Oscar Wilde)

The one on the left is extremely rare. They were fitted to all Sprite caravans from around 1964 - 1966 and I've been looking for spares for months.
The new replacement Lucas lights (from a Hillman Imp) are the exact same size, but the lenses are less domed. Also, the light fitting on the back protrudes by an inch or so. If the caravan walls are wide enough, then it can be fitted, but most people will need to modify the Lucas lights to fit.
I have bought the Lucas lights to fit on my 1964 Sprite 400, be prepared to fork out for them though, they're £40 per set! |

hi cameron
these lights were fitted to early 1970 royales for less than a year and had a white a lense and a flat chrome back(easy to solder new fittings onto)
the one in the photo i found in a box of bits at a caravan breakers
thank you for the information it is hard to build up the history of parts as most were sorced from suppliers who have long gone or don't have the records anymore

Hi Chris,
They were fitted to Sprites, as I said, from 1963/4 - 1966 and they had the matching indicators and brake/driving light units on the back too.
I have the name of the supplier on a new old stock pair that I found at an autojumble - will dig that out for you as a search point. As far as I know, they were cheap units bought by Sprite as they weren't expensive. Sadly they had a habit of the lenses going brittle and fading/breaking and the chrome bases rusting away.
The Lucas L961 is a very good match though - just like I said, they're not quite domed enough. But if you replace them in pairs (which you would anyway) then they look really good. |

sorry for the very slow reply, but here's the comparison between the original and the new Lucas replacements.
Kind regards,
