There were some very interesting cars here.
Have you ever seen one of these? A Rugby and no connection to the Midland town of that name.
11000 miles from new a very nice Saab 96 owned by the former Saab dealer in this area.
My daughter used to climb over this when it was a static plaything in Victoria Park in Leamington Spa. It now will reside at Beamish.
One of my all time likes.
Little and Large. The Bugatti was full size but doesn't it look small next to the Bentley?
Notice the difference?
My pick of the show. A Ford Thunderbird.
A more modern Ford muscle car.
A gem of an engine - Honda S800
Nice Lagonda
Last showing for this Rover before it went for sale at Brightwells.
A pretty MG
Didn't someone on here want a 4 door bullnose?
Did they really sell these with these headlamps?
I think that I knew the original owner of this Triumph. We called her Speedy Gonzales the way she drove it.

And we thought bafge engineering probably startedv with the Nuffields
Quote: | Durant Motors had a relationship with the Dort, Frontenac and DeVaux automobile name badges. The Rugby line was the export name for Durant's Star Car line. However, from 1928 to 1931 Durant marketed trucks in the US and Canadian markets under the badge Rugby Trucks |

The owner told me that Durant could not use the name Star in some export markets, notably the British Empire as the name Star was already registered to the Wolverhampton maker Star. They did not know how Durant came up with the name Rugby.
The car was first used in Southern Rhodesia but because of the troubles the family moved to South Africa where this car was bought by the current owner. The original owners are visiting the UK next month and will be able to see the car again. The owner said that they have not yet unrolled the side curtain windows in case they crack! I said that the body style reminded me of the musical Oklahoma.... The Surrey with fringe on top and the isinglas curtains that roll right down.....
It is a lovely and interesting car. _________________ Keep Torqueing,
