A decent weekend barring a few showers and a bit of wind on Sunday. Our club stand was very full on Saturday but I think the overnight downpour put some people off coming on Sunday. A new feature here was a big marquee with some flash (and quite new) stuff, most of which was very hard to photograph as it was quite busy.

We had a good weekend at the Tatton show on the Wolseley Owners Club stand - won best Club stand; not bad given that there were 87 clubs exhibiting.
Have some Wolseleys:
My Eugenie. 1300 miles in the laast 10 days - not bad.
Horace the hearse. Chairman's car. It's probably planning more naughtiness whilst you look at it........
I'm a 'Crab man at heart, so the only other 'Crab present was Clive Serrell's; Chief Crabber.

As I heard it, this was the name Stuart gave to the car show he started doing at Event City before the Footman James event started, and it was added for the marquee of new fast stuff like the XJ220, a couple of MacLarens, some Bentleys and so on. Outside of the marquee it wasn't any different to the usual classic show. His two shows have always been slightly different to each other, one being more welcoming to modern sporty stuff than the other. I hadn't noticed it until someone on another forum used the name, then I noticed it on my entry pass. |
