I have been on here since before the "Aviation" forum was started and from what I see, it has been a success.

I believe there are many members who have an interest in all sorts of things, especially if they move or have bits that rotate.

Stuchamp

Interesting line up of outboards.
What span of time between them, my guess, more likely wrong, is the second from right is the oldest.

As Peter says if it has moving whirly bits, inside or outside, I love em.
Even a bit of canvas taking the wind as well.

Roger, I have 14 motors at home plus a few more at my Dad's shop that I need to bring home. Years are from 1931 to 1970.... 1.5hp thru 35hp.
The motors on the stand are from the left...........
1952 Evinrude Lightwin 3hp
1950 Evinrude Sportwin 3.3hp
1957 Johnson SeaHorse 3hp
1946 Champion Blue Ribbon 4.2hp
1948 Hiawatha 1.5hp
1951 Elgin 5hp
1955 Mercury Comet 6hp

Some run, others need repaired or rebuilt.
Not sure yet if I want to restore them to look like new or just leave them looking as is.
The 3-point Hydro race boat is from the 50's.

If there is enough interest then yes I don't see a problem with a nautical category, so long as it gets frequent use. I'll use the responses to this thread to gauge things, otherwise we can just have adhoc nautical threads as and when needed, without a specific category for them to sit in.

Hi
We used to have regular sea fishing trip reports which involved a boat, who were they from?

This is currently closed for redevelopement but has been a great place to visit in the past and hopefully will be again.
http://www.steamboats.org.uk/

It was previously mentioned here when we were talking about Paul Brook's Dodge fire engine.
EDIT

I hav now heard it should be reopening in 2016 and the Fire Station is staying as it is part of the history of the site.

I've just been taking another look at a couple of old photos I have, they were posted a little while back in this thread: http://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/forum/phpbb/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=11906
