That is an amazing Collection in some way i think its a shame they get removed & restored.
The way they are parked now is awesome, but I fully understand that such rare cars cant be left like this.
A few years ago I found a place here in Denmark, where cars had been left in small outhouses, and under roofs that were falling down.
The guy collected special bodied limousines.
It was amazing to walk around between the cars, that had been sitting for decades. _________________ http://www.eurods.eu/wp/index.html |

I think it was predictable that all the lots would exceed their estimates, but those prices are just ridiculous!
The 1927 Amilcar CGSS with the wrong engine fetched more than a correct mint car would have done; you could buy three nice early twenties Citroen C3s for the price this one fetched; and even the Singer Roadster which hardly has a market overseas fetched more than a nice example is worth.
£18,500 for a 3.4 Jaguar S-Type restoration project, anyone?
The more valuable cars may well have raised a few eyebrows at the prices they made, but there is still probably money to be made in a total reconstruction, but some of the more mundane cars will be a real labour of love, with no prospect of recovering even the purchase price... |
