Doesn't the guy with the stick have to be a Freeman of the City of London to be able to drive his sheep through the streets? We need to know!!

I believe the Freeman's right applies to driving them over London Bridge, but my memory of the act is a bit woolly. |

To help in your identification of the objects in the picture, the smaller wooly animals at the front are 'sheep'. The other objects appear to be an early omnibus, and the two legged animals are called humans. Hope this helps.

I could easily have mistaken them for the British electorate on polling day... |

Hi
The photo was actually taken sometime during a maximum of 2 months from the 27th October 1925.
The sheep, if they keep turning towards the photographer, appear to be being driven towards Waterloo Bridge.
I wonder if this is a normal "everyday" occurance or if perhaps it is related to the Lord Mayor's show which would have been held on November 9th or a practice run for it.
The Good Old Days (Asche/Fletcher) 27 October (37 perfs) Gaiety Theatre
37 performances, there would have probably been matinees but of course no show on Sundays
There was no show featuring a title ending in ...D DAYS anywhere in London during 1926. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Hi
I think the #77 could be an AEC K type and #11 might be a Dennis. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Is one omnibus going to Woolwich and the other to Shepherd's Bush ?.
Perhaps it was an early attempt at traffic calming ? |
