Hi - here are pics taken a few days ago of a 'barn find' now known as "Ghost Hotel Auto Museum" in Chiangmai Thailand. The building in which these relics are housed was a multi-storey 4-star hotel in it's heyday but is now derelict & gutted located on Chiangmai's Super Highway Ring Road on the east side of the city. The vehicles - about 45 in all - are parked in what were the reception and public areas. They belong to Khun Kittisak, who gave his permission to view and take pics, owns a garage across the Highway. Here are the links to view :-

The link below is has ice cream vans generally and Harrods of Londons new Christmas World promotion featuring their new ice cream van.

The link below has some pics of Morris J & Austin 101 vans. many were acquired from oldclassiccar.com - with thanks.

And this is the website of a Dutch couple, Kees & Els van der Laarschot, who went from Holland to Thailand overland - and I don't mean by plane. They travelled 'overland' in their Unimog 1300L - a total of 30,000 kms in 14 months through 17 countries. They arrived in Thailand in early July after sending the Unimog by sea from India to Malaysia and then driving northto Thailand. They averaged 4 kms per litre - you can do the sums yourselves !

Hi

I can't get access to see the pictures as I need your password and username, so if you can post the photos listing the link to exactly where the photo is, it should work. If you have a look in the welcome section at the top of the forum, there is a guide to posting pictures.

Cheers

Dave

Hi Dave - thanks for the post. I have already read the guide to posting pics you refer to - and I've tried to register with photobucket - several times before - but to no avail. It just doesn't work for me.
I mentioned this to a literate buddy and he suggested I try facebook.com -and that worked a charm for me. Other buddies have opened the links I posted OK. But those were sent by a separate email - not posted topldclassiccar.com.
I wonder if you yourself - have you registered registered with facebook.com ? I believe you need to do that. It's very easy and quick - it has to be, because it worked fine first time for me !

Other forums I subscribe to - it's possible to post direct onto the board along with your message as an attachment - and the pic/s then come up in the thread. I've seen this also on oldclassiccar.com - some posts have the pic/s attached to the message and can be viewed without clicking any link.
How do those posters do that I wonder ? It's not mentioned in the guide.
I really do want this posting of pics to work well & easily because there are photos that I'm sure many of you on oldclassiccar.com would be interested to view.
Thanks. MalcolmL

Most pics that people post on the forum are hosted with imageshack or photobucket, they then include a link thats given to them and the image gets included in the posting.

hope this helps
