just found a 1953 rollalong Meteor? since i cant read everything, has anyone more info about this brand etc?
just contacted the (still excising ) company but they where also not sure if there's still something as remaining archive over this period.
am i correct that these vans where more or less built for use as travelers vans?
thanks in advance

I assume by Travelers vans you mean Showmen from the Fun Fair?
It looks like a Showmans trailer to me.
I would ask here
http://www.fun-fairs.co.uk/
They have a section Called Living vans
http://www.fun-fairs.co.uk/forum/32-living-vans/
They are a helpful bunch and will be delighted to help and see another piece of history preserved. _________________ It will come in handy even if you never use it. |

thank you winchman,
i ment that indeed although i never heart off fun fares
the idear of travelers is mainly because of the size and weight of this van.
i can't figure what kind of car would have been capable of driving/pulling this van those days
ill post it there as well.
if anyone is interested; we just recovered it yesterday, all pictures etc are on our facebook https://www.facebook.com/pages/Stichting-tot-Behoud-van-de-Oldtimer-Caravan/1399820296959767
many regards
