Surely, this must be rare. I remember the estate we had. My Dad loved it to bits. In the days before he had any money, this was the ideal car for everyday use and camping holidays alike.

One thing's for sure "they don't make 'em like that any more."

Am I tempted? You bet I am.

Wife's comment: "what? that old thing"?

What can you do.....? Crying or Very sad

Uses the same engine and shares many other parts with the Peugeot D4B I brought back to life between 2010 - 2012.....

Yes I would buy one but perhaps not at that price, much cheaper in France and still a few about (ok LHD tho)

PS my Peugeot van is still up for sale, but they are still asking £3250 above what I sold it for Crying or Very sad

Or go for the pick-up at half the price:

The problem with the estate is the (apparently huge) amount of spares he's including. I can well imagine many potential buyers will be put off by the volume to be housed; as for value, who knows? Probably if you need a specific item it will be quite valuable, but otherwise the market is going to be pretty limited...

There was one of those estates for sale at the local old-car garage a few years ago. It needed a fair bit of tlc mind, and was HUUUGEEEE. Handy for a picnic outing though Smile

If I was a betting man (but I'm not) I would put money on a RHD Estate version being as rare as rocking horse droppings.

I get the impression that the owner knows exactly what it is worth and is trying his luck with the auction. I am probably just the sort of buyer he is looking for. Funny how nostalgia can play havoc with logic. I sometimes need a big estate car for my business and for a moment thought a classic Peugeot
403 estate especially one with RHD would be nice but my happy childhood memories are just that - memories.
