The day started with a gathering at a school in Kirkwall, then a guided tour around the Fire Station at the airport, then a trip around the eastern side of the mainland, an afternoon stop for an ice cream, a guided tour around some of the WW2 defences based around Scapa Flow, then dinner at a local Hotel. A fine day was had by all, around 30 various vehicles, including a bus from Shetland

Surely everyone has heard or read about the 'Shetland Bus'.
The Model T is used regularly attending the two yearly Rally in Shetland, and also venturing onto the mainland to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Berwick.
The driver is not as old as the car, in his late sixties, but with his wife wrapped in some lovely tartan blankets, they go everywhere.
It was unusual this year as I was the only 'topless' model, with the T having his hood up. Soon be the Rally in August, but for us it is Banbury in June, based at Gaydon.
Just as an aside, I took the photos on my phone, the cameras have improved on them immeasurably haven't they? _________________ KA
