This came through this afternoon, if anyone can help source such a 'van let me know and I'll pass on the details

----------------

I work at Dundee Rep theatre in Scotland and I hope that you can help me
or pass me on to someone who can.

We are currently propping for our next show Peer Gynt, which has a
caravan on stage.

We are looking for a caravan that is no longer than 3 mtrs. It doesn't
matter the condition it is in as we will be ripping out the inside and
cutting a side off of the caravan so the audience can see in.

We would be looking to get this for as cheap as possible as we are on a
tight budget and after the show we wont be able to re-use it.

I thank you for your time and hope that you can help. I look forward to
hearing from you

Many thanks

well guess it wouldn't need to be a classic caravan, just something thats in someone's way and they want rid of....don't think many people would shed a tear seeing an 80s caravan getting the chop, a 50s one might be different though Smile

Im looking to get rid of my older carlight caravan. Its looking pretty sorry for its-self.

see http://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/forum/phpbb/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1614&start=45

We started restoring the front, and that went well, then we took out the kitchen at the back and was going to do the same re-panelling at the back as we did at the front, but a purchase of a newer carlight halted the restoration.

Now its just sat in my back garden, with half an interior waiting to either be restored, or scrapped.

If you want it, feel free to drop me an email to james@jnolan.co.uk

Same goes for if anyone else fancies tackling the job. I was just about to post a thread up here about it when i saw this topic.

Im not after any money for it, just after it gone now, as its taking up valuable space.

Cheers
James

Hi

Only the other day I thought we had not had an update from you on the van for a while!

Shame that you gave up on the old girl, but if you got a better example, fair enough!

How is the Volvo?

Cheers

Hi Buzzy

Yes it is a shame, but lack of time, and lack of interest now ive got my newer van, means i just want it gone now.

My new carlight is MILES ahead of this older one. Ive just spent a week in the lake district with the van, and it was very pleasant.

The volvo is good thanks. It did le mans again this year. Now on 153,500 miles with no mechanical problems at all. Managed to get 380 miles to a tankfull of petrol (around £45) so not bad for an 18 year old 2.3 litre petrol engine Smile

My newer "weekend" car is also taking up a lot of my cash at the moment:

I'll deffo stick around more. Its a good forum to be a member of Smile
