Turned up late morning today (Sunday) to find everything a sea of mud, most of the cars gone and the remaining larger vehicles being towed off by tractors. Not sure what Saturday was like, but I would not have committed my classic to that field this morning (unless it was a Land Rover.) _________________ 1953 Citroen Traction

I was there yesterday, going was soft, but manageable if you stayed off the throttle. It was obvious that there had been problems getting the big stuff on, and some trade vans had sunk to their axles in situ. It was a dry day and there was still some wet bits. When I left I thought I had flat tyres until I fired the mud and straw off my wheels. This was from just inside the entrance/exit gate. The field has this problem after heavy rain, it has happened before, that's why I went with my "Chipping Steam Fair" suspension setting, i.e. not lowered 2". |
