I always bought the "Motor Sport" (the one with the green cover) I dont know if it is still published, and the Old Motor and Vintage Commercial but it must be a good 40 years now since I last bought one. I sometimes buy the odd steam railway magazine but not very often. Do you buy car magazines ?? _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

I might be tempted by Practical Classics or the like if there's a potentially useful technical article or product test in there, but otherwise no. None of these publications are cheap these days, and having lashed out over £4 (maybe more now) you don't feel like tossing it in the recycling, so you end up with boxes and bags of dusty magazines cluttering the house up - they're over 50% adverts and so take up a lot of space, and when you do get round to chucking them out years later it still feels like a wrench... |

Years back I used to buy Practical Classics / The Automobile or Classic Car Weekly, these days I tend not to buy any as its all a bit expensive. I find the forum more interesting and useful. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

As with the others I no buy mags - I glance at them for few minutes each month but never buy any these days as not worth it. I did not renew my Practical Classics sub last year either as they did not give any offers or discount even though I had this sub for years.
I have kept all my old mags and still have all my dad's from the 1960's which I read when new and have re-read time after time. They are in one of the garages now but are dry and do not take up that much room I suppose _________________ Rover P2

At one time I used to buy four or five a month, classic car and Landrover magazines but it must be five years or more since I have bought any.
That coincides with getting my first ever computer in 2010.
Occasionally I will have a glance at one in a newsagent shop and what strikes me is the amount of advertising magazines contain these days. _________________ Starting Handle Expert

I have 30 years of Autocar and 20 of Motor Sport, all up to about 1975 and given to me, but now I take Classic & Sports Car, but like Rick, I am well behind with reading them. |

I have thousands of classic car mags; Automobile, Practical Classics etc etc. I will be giving them away at Tatton Park this weekend. All free, though a small donation to NW Air Ambulance would be welcome. Come along to stand E121 with a list of your wants and get browsing! |

I am a subscriber to 'Restored Cars', an Australian publication that comes out every two months. It's a very good read and has been going since 1973. I have every issue!
The other one I buy fairly regularly is 'Just Cars', another Australian publication, which although it has articles about interesting cars, it is primarily a selling medium for mainly private owners of old or unique cars.
