Hi Chaps, I am about to add a car to my collection and will need storage as I only have a double garage. It's a runner and I will be using it from time to time. I am looking at the specialist secure storage places but wondered if anyone on here has some ideas? Perhaps some of you also store cars in hangers or barns? I am near Maidenhead. Thanks Rich... |

I rent a lock up from my local council. costs me about £10 a week. it's only a herald though. nothing exotic that would require armed gurds or anything. _________________ Mike,

Same here though mine is £7 a week. I had to wait about a year before one became available but it's an absolute bargain as it's in a gated and locked compound so no worries about security. _________________ David

We're allowed to put additonal bolts and locks on and just about everyone has done so though my thinking is that too many locks (some garages have three extra) suggests there might be something more valuable inside. I'm doubly lucky as there's a single street light in the compound and it's right next to my garage.
Someone has tried to saw behind the handle on the up and over door on my garage. I reported it to the council and a new door is being fitted next week. Apparently mine is one of the original ones and is 30-40 years old so is overdue to be replaced. _________________ David
