Lovely looking cars, always pricey. Would this be a cheap way into them? _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

Looking at the advert properly I would have to agree, not a cheap way into these cars! _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

I agree with Rick on the buying dismantled/partly restored stuff. Usually find expensive bits are missing or you need to undo what has been done because the previous owner either short-cutted or got out of his depth. |

Absolutely not a cheap way in.
There were two chassis available not so long ago which were the cheapest way in. They were both just the metal, nothing else...a cheap way in, an expensive way to find your way out.
There was also a fire-damaged vehicle that was horribly overpriced considering the damage, not sure of the exact model now. Put it this way, though, the fire damage was so intense that the [cast?] engine block itself had melted.
Having said that, it's Dead Man's Boots with this sort of thing. You either do so, and do up, or you pass.
Personally, I would only go for a complete and provenanced car. So many small parts get put into parts bins or boxes and then lost, you would not believe... |
