My first house bought the 80's in Chester built in the 1920's had a "Cold Slab" stone fitted under the stairs, possibly these wooden fridges had not yet hit the market! Otherwise I have some older Telephony stuff, old radios and TV's would also interest me as my dad brought me up on them, in the days when I could more with an IC..... However Valve stuff is far easier to explane than semiconducter stuff!

The wooden fridge is rather interesting.
I grew up in a rural area and we had no utilities available. When my young brother was born, (1956) the folks bought a kerosene powered fridge second hand, I have no idea how old it was.
That background has given me an interest in kerosene lamps, stoves and heaters, although it is an interest only, and I do not collect them. _________________ Dane- roverdriver but not a Viking. |

Went for a walk round an old mill that work have bought for redevelopment today, nice little skip find...needs a good clean but it's all there and even has an In date PAT sticker. I'm not brave enough to turn it on tho, it will still make a nice bit of retro in the man cave.
