One of my plywood vans I call “Driftwood”.... which I thought was fairly inspirational Smile
I wish inspiration would strike again regarding my 1936 plywood..... I call it “Ol’ 36” Embarassed

Although, as I am about the oldest bloke in our vintage caravan group and sometimes affectionately Question referred to
as “ The Fossil ” I am thinking about adopting that moniker for Ol’ 36 as it is about the oldest van in the group..... so far.

Paul, did you notice the 1933 Winchester mentioned above did not reach the reserve ?
Top bid was £ 1,900.00, only three bidders going for it.

Hi Sorry about delay in replying had trouble logging on to the site
re some names :- vox hall, chipmunk, field cottage, good hunting, liberty, pandora, alpha, that appears to be all in the book for cheltenham names .

For Cobber,
the winchester reserve was £3500 and it's location restricted the interest? or maybe it's just ebay and as far as I know it's still for sale Rolling Eyes Smile

regards Carol (Pauls typist because I can spell and am quicker generally.)

(I think I’ve seen those photos on a DVD Wink Wink )
And a lovely restoration job at...

I don’t know if the people posting these photos are photographic nuts or classic caravan nuts.. or a bit of both... but they should be introduced to this forum so that their photos can finish up here...... where they will be appreciated Very Happy Smile .

I did get the photos Paul, and they make me drool.
You must master the photo posting process Carol....... and Paul Wink , so photos like these can be put on the forum to show everybody what’s out there in Vintage Caravan world.

Berclay delight late 50s

That van was only about 5 miles from it's Biggleswade birthplace at the time the photo was taken!
I missed the Steam Fair (again Sad ) this year but last time I was there, I was absolutely delighted to see a Berkeley Cavalier with a (painted to match!) Rover P4 as it's towcar, as was my first ever caravanning experience (although dad's 60 was black unlike the 'van, and soon replaced by a P5 3 Litre Coupe!

If I ever get the chance to get back in to caravanning, it will almost definitely be a classic combination, and my Daimler 420 deserves a Berkeley , I feel! Very Happy
