Hi all,

There are vehicles of many ages belonging to members here, from the 1920s through to the 1970s and beyond.

How's about a thread featuring photos of car dashboards, and any aftermarket fittings that they might have? For example, period eight-track players, auxiliary gauges, and so on.

I'll see what I can find of my own.

Little Dodge, photographed a couple of years back. The inappropriate temp gauge has been removed, and the gaudy keyring replaced Smile

The Commer's cabin is probably the best preserved bit on it Smile

Note the make-shift screen washer arrangements.

My Singer

Including the leather key pouch that came with her.
It did have a period 8 track player fitted but I removed it and fitted a lovely Sony portable unit

Chevrolet Corvair Lakewood (estate). Sold in 2004.

VandenPlas 4 Litre R - stored in the shed, future “barn find”…

TR4, fantastic dash. I actually have a new grab rail for the RH side under the dash but the grain on the vinyl is not as coarse as the original so I will not fit it.

Stag - work in progress! Now have found the wood parts for it, hard to find for a LHD

Range Rover, now has auto and the standard steering wheel instead of that horrible thing. Note the A/C levers (rare).

Minx, simple but just beautiful

Jaguar Mk7, lots to improve upon!

420, I quite like the “burned lacquer” effect

Interceptor Mk1 RHD, without the radio…

original radio with 8-track for the Jensen

Interceptor LHD, stored in the shed so another future “barn find”

Trusty old Chamois, note the make is Sunbeam not Singer in the Netherlands. Another great simple Rootes dash.

Some great looking dashboards here, thanks for posting them.

Kev - the pull-out radio's a neat thing, similar to a Phillips set I used to have in my A40 many moons ago.

Badhuis - agreed, the Minx dash is simple yet very stylish.
