go for it it would look bonnie on a pedestal on your front lawn! something for junior and his mates to play in, and I'm sure it would also be educational so erindoors will approve !

Hmmm funnily enough I do have outline planning permission from SWMBO for a full-size plane (although it'd be a squeeze), but I'm not sure that she'd be too keen on just the front end bit. A tank also received similar permission when I gently suggested it a while ago. I should probably have got it in writing at the time.

Yep, we found it in the long grass behind Tangmere museum. We had it for a while but didn't do much with it. It ended up going to someone who collects cockpits, according to dad it was sectioned horizontally, enabling the repainted top half to be taken to shows on a trailer. The lower section has gone to the US and is being used on a Gannet being returned to flight apparently.
