Hi all,

A Vixen cockpit section, on a purpose-built trailer, with a ruck of spare parts to go with it ... the temptation is strong, must resist.

I am with Rootes75 on this. I reckon even if I suggested it was a hen house it would still get a frosty reception!! Smile

Hmmm funnily enough I do have outline planning permission from SWMBO for a full-size plane (although it'd be a squeeze), but I'm not sure that she'd be too keen on just the front end bit. A tank also received similar permission when I gently suggested it a while ago. I should probably have got it in writing at the time.

Yep, we found it in the long grass behind Tangmere museum. We had it for a while but didn't do much with it. It ended up going to someone who collects cockpits, according to dad it was sectioned horizontally, enabling the repainted top half to be taken to shows on a trailer. The lower section has gone to the US and is being used on a Gannet being returned to flight apparently.
