A new car show hosted by Mawdesley Cricket Club in rural Lancashire, attracted around 120 cars and vintage motor bikes and was well supported by the public also, helped by a good warm sunny day.
Best car in show was a Ferrari Dino, not my personal favourite, that being a very nice prewar A C. We took and showed the Traction, and found two friends there.























As you can see quite a wide variety of vehicles exhibited and a good day out, albeit a slight hitch at the end caused by a stuck needle valve, cleared by a sharp tap on the float chamber with a screwdriver handle.

It is a 1926 UNIC.
Unfortunately I couldn't find its owner to find out more and Googling has borne little fruit either. I know that UNIC went on to make lots of heavy lorries etc. post war, and also some taxis were, I seem to recall , made by them.
