Indeed. The good old flat cap that stops my hair from blowing all over the place, and leather gloves that make a thin, cold metal wheel a lot more comfortable for arthritic hands. Also the RayBans stay in the Morris—Polaroids are much better when driving the modern because they eliminate glare reflected from the top of the dash.

I was given a pair of Les Leston driving gloves for Christmas about six years ago as they appear on a Riley 1.5 brochure (along with a flat cap). I've never worn them as they don't look quite right with the T-shirt and shorts I usually wear on summer outings. I've been threatened with the flat cap this year... _________________ David

I regularly wore a Deer Stalker hat until it was so worn that it had to be retired. _________________ Dane- roverdriver but not a Viking. |

Many years ago I spent a few months driving an artic in the UK. From my lofty driving position I did once see a totally naked (and attractive!) young woman in the passenger seat of a Herald convertible. Absolutely true. Never seen anything like it since....... |

I worked for a transport firm who had on the fleet some of the old BMC lorries with windows down by the drivers feet (like the old BMC threepenny bits).
One driver would often pick up hitch hikers even though this was totally against the rules. One day driving with a young lady in the passengers seat wearing a mini skirt he realised he was being followed by one of the managers as they swung out to overtake he ordered his passenger to duck down in the footwell so they wouldn't see her. The manager looked in his rear view mirror when he got in front and was amazed to see a bare backside in the lower passenger side window. _________________ Thirty years selling imperial hand tools for old machinery(Now happily retired). |

My mate was driving across the Sydney Harbor Bridge in a truck, when he looked down, this woman , in an open sports car, was holding the private parts of the male driver....
Another one I heard of from a worker at Macca's , she called a male friend to come and have a look. Four girls all naked, drove in to order Macca's it must have been a dare ! |
