Roughly translated:
They find in France in a quarry of stone underground a collection of classic cars that have been hiding there for more than 80 years to avoid the discovery by the German army. The collection of classic cars was found by a Belgian urban teacher and explorer named Vincent Michael who, finding the treasure, described that he felt he had traveled 'back in time'.

Probably it looked less rusty
Regarding to hiding the cars for the germans i wonder if that's right, when people hide cars to prevent them take away they hide usable cars, not wrecks.
Most of these cars are stripped, engines are all over the place, interiors are ripped out.wheels removed and so on.
There are also pre war and post war cars mixed together, overall it lookes like a junk yard, not a pre war storage.
My grandfather owned a prewar Opel and just before the war he had the car hidden wrapped in a tarp under a hay stack,on blocks and covered in oil, after the war the Opel came out of the haystack and was used again. |
