Are any of you able to identify any of the cars in this photograph? It was posted on a facebook group I belong to focusing on the history of Maidenhead. This is of Maidenhead High Street but undated. It looks to me as though it would have been around 1910-1915? And the pale coloured car furthest away looks like a Rolls Royce. In which case I wonder if something special was occurring? Anyone Question

The clothing all points to pre-Great War, and I think all the cars date from 1912 onwards, so that pins it down to just a couple of years.

If I had to put names to cars, I might go for a Napier at the front of the row, and Standard for the third car (both probably 15-20hp).I'm not convinced the car at the back is a Rolls Royce - I don't think it's large enough. The car driving away is a bit of a puzzle, I would have dated it as post war, but it can't be ...

Wow, that great. I can see why the front one could be a Napier from the radiator shape now you say it. It does look pre-WW1

It's not just the shape of the radiator; that car looks like it's got the tall radiator filler that is so typical of Napier.

Ok, this comment in no way helps with the year, but I would hazard a guess that the photo was taken during Maidenhead Regatta week.

By the time these motor vehicles came along, ladies were already wearing "straw boaters".

The "vehicle" front and centre ? wouldn't this be much older than the others, a dog as a passenger. A gent with a Top Hat passing behind.

The word "Garage" doesn't seem to appear until after 1902.

There is "ladies" designed bicycle, a Policeman stood close to the vehicle (Right-Front)

Francis Frith obviously visited Maidenhead in 1911 as there are numerous photos on their site. Some may even include one of the cars! the pictures look very similar to the post
