Hi guys,

I have a Morris van with an I-beam front axle typical of commercial vehicles.
Does anyone know what type of metal was being used to make them c1950s.
I assumed it would be Chrome Vanadium, but it has been suggested that they may be just carbon steel.

cheers,

Mike
