Help! I have just fitted the hardtop to my Sprite and am reminded of the state of the paintwork on it. Lots of little pimples cover the surface and rubbing down is very difficult due to the hardness.
I have bought some self-etch primer for if I ever get the surface sorted.
a/ What caused it, there is no smell to associate with osmosis?
b/ How can I stop it coming back after respray?

I know very little about fibreglass and any suggestions would be welcome.

Don.

Hi

What did you paint it with?

Looks like it has reacted with something to me, if you have painted it, did you make sure the surface was clean, and wax/silicone free?

Cheers

Dave

I saw it and immediately thought micro-blisters due to vapour in the airlines when painting

Shows no sign of having been resprayed I assumed it to be the manufacturers finish. They do look like micro-blisters.
