Thank you for your kind comments about the old "Lag" - I may give the pics a tint too.

I see it's been a while since I posted on here but in my defence I moved house last year which meant the Lagonda was in storage for a long time. Treble garage now so I have no excuses however she's away again...

Back end of last summer I attended the Brooklands Reunion, a great event and it coincided with re-opening the old finishing straight and unveiling a reconstruction of the race leader display board. As part of the fun we were invited to take part in mock race starts and of course I couldn't resist! Below is a favourite picture of me in the Lagonda alongside a 1928 Delage. I think I won but unfortunately the differential didn't take too kindly to it and has had to be repaired. Parts for 85 year old Lagondas aren't so prevalent and a doner diff’ has been renovated and fitted. I'm just waiting for a few other bits to be completed now and she'll be back with me just in time for the rain to start!

Incidentally, I wasn't always breaking it by doing drag starts up the Brooklands finish straight. I did replace the black Bosch horns (which I thought were rather ugly) with some shiny Lucas Windtones. These look far better on a car such as the Lagonda. Very Happy

Thank you Kevin, she's good fun, not fast but fun. Looking forward to getting her back from the specialists. I had to have a new prop-shaft too because the theory is that the one in it was too long by about an inch so there was no free play longitudinally. This was probably jamming the prop up against the gearbox at one end and the diff at the other, hence the break.

It's looking very well indeed, shame about the breakage but these things need using.
