				| The annual car show at Astley Hall in Chorley took place last weekend. This always attracts a good cross section of cars, this year with some muscle Americana as well as a lot of prewar and early post war cars. There were still a few recent hot hatches in there, which baffles me somewhat, although the public visitors seemed to largely disregard them. Still it takes all sorts and at least the movement is starting to attract some young blood. Here is a small selection of interesting pictures taken on the day. Worth a trip either to show or spectate when it comes around again in 2020.

The Cadillac is owned by Mr Frederick of ice cream fame, and is, I am told, part of a collection. The twin Pontiacs appear identical at a glance, but one is the sporting GTO variant. The little blue Fiat took my fancy, reminiscent of a late Morris 8, and approximately of the same vintage. The bottom photograph is a 1920's Renault, very rarely seen in the UK, this particular example was apprently used by a restaurant in a Spanish resort as a publicity vehicle in its previous life and is still signwritten accordingly. A nice car.
