This turned up in the local garage last week, a really solid old girl having spent all its life in Arizona/California. The owners are on the lookout for grille pieces, front badge, and steel rims, if anyone knows of any available out there?

Hi

Were you over there today? I had to blast up to Shrewsbury this pm, just got back. What is on the front pointing towards the Roundabout, I saw it out of the corner of my eye, and then had no time to have a proper look?

Cheers

Dave

I called by briefly earlier this afternoon, it was this that you saw facing the road, a '41 Chevy (longbed) pickup

Hi

What did it say on the side of that one, once upon a time?

Cheers

we never quite made it out, it was really original that one and a rare old beast (again from Arizona), although the motor was a bit iffy in it I think

check this out, sadly (!) sold now but what a great buy for just over two grand sterling (plus shipping naturally)

the US is the place to buy an old American truck I think, even though it would involve shipping etc

I've found this forum very helpful in sourcing Dodge Truck parts:

www.P15-D24.com

Check out the Pilothouse era trucks section & just ask. I think you have to register first, though.

If it's me you're asking, I'm afraid it was already rodded when I bought it. The original wheels are long gone.
I am likely to bump into the previous owner at some point, so I'll ask for you.

I have 4 x 15" weller 8 spokes that are currently fitted to my 1946 Dodge for sale. The tyres are not very good but the rims are. I am going over to standard rims albeit a bit earlier than original (same as on the '49 in the picture) I am told these are 1937 rims is that correct?
If anyones interested in the rims email me waynesmith78 @ hotmail.com (remove spaces) or call 07723 347784 or 01454 326806 (eves) I am located north of Bristol.
