How many forum members would be up for a possible meeting in 2008?
I seem to remember this suggestion once before, but lets see if we can arrange one! |

J-R., is that including the Viking Run for you? Maybe another is Wheels'n'Wings? |

Not sure on the Viking Run as yet - I've been told that the Big Power Meet at Vasteras is probably a better choice. Either way, it will depend on funds.
Where & when's the Wheels'n'Wings thing? _________________ Don't run your fingers over my truck & I won't run my truck over your fingers!

Wheels'n'wings is just outside a place called Varberg, on Swedens west coast just south of Gothenburg. Its a combined meet for cars and aircraft....well recommended, and its possible to rent a small cabin for the weekend, if you are early enough. |

Well, it's a way off as yet, but I'm definitely interested. I really fancy the idea of taking the Dodge across the water.
Not literally, you understand. _________________ Don't run your fingers over my truck & I won't run my truck over your fingers!

I am organising three events in Essex/Herts in 2008, any of which could be used as a South East meet for forum members:
14-15 June - Weald Park, Near Brentwood, Essex (2 miles from Junc28 on M25) All pre 1980 vehicles including Classic Caravans Welcome.
Saturday 21st June, Abridge, Near Romford Essex. All pre 1980 vehicles but Classic Caravans only for the Friday evening (arrive after 6.00pm)
9 - 10 August Royal Gunpowder Mills, Waltham Abbey, Herts. All pre 1980 vehicles including Classic Caravans Welcome.
Anyone interested should send me a PM for an entry form. _________________ Brian

I think that any forum meet should be relatively central as to the area, so that we can get as many members as possible. I think also it should be informal.
BrianM's idea of doing it at one of the events he is organising sounds good, but maybe it would be better if there was an event further north? |

Personally, I don't mind where it is. I want to attend most of the American/Hot Rod/Custom events as I can, but any weekends where there's nothing of that ilk occurring, I try to find classic/vintage events.
I also have to take into account any local meets & cruises.
Whatever you guys decide is fine by me. _________________ Don't run your fingers over my truck & I won't run my truck over your fingers!

You'll have to let us know which ones you'll be at etc and we'll try to meet up. I think we're going to try and make Billing in June and maybe the Super Nats at the end of July and deffinatly the Nats (what excuses can we use when it's just 10 minutes away!) Not not mention several of the local shows in the Suffolk/Essex/ Norfolk area. We'll either be in the Humber or Fairlane depending when Sniper can get it ready for it's MOT. |

Well, the next one is this Saturday - the Brass Monkey Run, meeting at The Ram in Brandon at 10am.
First meet of next season is 15th March at Santa Pod for a test & tune day.
I usually hit Billing for the Spring Nationals, which I believe is April - I'll go through my list & post up the details. _________________ Don't run your fingers over my truck & I won't run my truck over your fingers!

Essex close enough to Kent for me to be able to make it to one of them.
