I will make an effort to see the car...

We live around 30 mins from Haynes Motor Museum and I have never actually visited...

Haynes is well worth a trip.

Nice to see a story about an old car being restored, rather than having its heart and soul (engine) torn out in order to fit a washing machine pump in its place. But that's another subject.

I believe it must be the London based Coach builder Carlton to which the "sole survivor" refers. One normally expects to see these exotics bodied by the more outlandish European houses.
