The latest photo collection to hit the OCC channel is of economy (ie relatively cheap to buy) cars of the 1950s-1970s.

Today's upload sees big Dodge get a spring clean & oily rag treatment, also has footage of the BBMF Lancaster which flew past (appropriately enough) to display at a village fete.

We took little Dodge over to the following morning meet recently, there were quite a few moderns there but a few oldies made an appearance too including a fruity sounding S-Type Jaguar.

I always thought the early Europa looked like a Lotus van.

p.s. I suspect the pump carried a BP logo.

Yes BP is looking very likely agreed.
Uploaded today and added to the following page, a collection of images featuring classic "three box" saloons of the 1950s-1970s.

OK, the Morris 1100 has a boot lid but I think it's stretching the definition to include it as a "Three Box Saloon".

I know I did wonder about that one, but from the side there are kind of three parts to it

A recent testing day at Oulton Park yielded some great-sounding cars out on track. These included MGBs, Cobra, big Healeys, TRs etc etc.

Part 2 of Capesthorne Hall went live today, Jaguar (or it seemed 1960s-on Jaguar) was the featured marque but there were plenty of other cars in attendance.

Exceptionally nice Jowett Jupiter !!
It was one of these cars that got me interested in Classic cars in the 1960s; although back then they were current daily transport.
When I saw a beautiful red Jupiter parked at the side of the road, I told my Dad I really liked it and he was a bit sniffy at first...
but once he started explaining the various idiosyncrasies of the boxer engine etc. we couldn't shut him up! |
