I was sent this photo from someone who has found some old toolkits in a shed, asking if the one shown is from a Mk2?? does anyone know?

Hi Rick,

I have a photo of a Mk II tool kit and it does have the same shape and layout and the same set of tools but the tools are set in foam which is shaped to fit. Perhaps this tool kit is from a 240 or 340. Unfortunately I don't have a photo for these cars.

late edit: By coincidence I've just received the January edition of the JDC club mag and it shows the same tool kit in the boot of an F reg Daimler Sovereign. I would guess that this tool kit would be fitted to the S type and the 240 and 340 that were all in production at that time.
