News came through yesterday that the uber-rare wartime food van, or mobile canteen, is to be restored. This vehicle had been on display at the Canadian War Museum for many years, and is now to be renovated. Thanks to Dan for the photo. Ford gifted a number of these vans during the war to offer food and drink to people affected by the bombing, and those clearing up the aftermath in London.
The eagle-eyed E83W fan will spot the tell-tale signs of an early E83W, including the different rear lower arch profile, the non-beaded edge front wings, and the grille with a single starting handle hole
