An article about the closure of this interesting place has made it onto the BBC now:

It is an ideal re purpose of a 1930's bus depot.

Unfortunately, I can't see it making enough profit to have a viable future. I have always liked Moretonhampstead but I doubt it is a big enough place to sustain such a museum. Not just the building but all those cars will need insurance. Then there is the cost of maintenance and staff.

It needs someone with deep pockets and a lot of enthusiasm.

It's hard to see a future for the building either assuming the museum packs up, shame really. I'm just glad we went when we did, here's our walkaround of the building and exhibits: https://youtu.be/8RmFh0rAnW8

We've never visited but looks the type of place we would like. Shame that it's having to close but I simply can't see smaller private places like this making enough money to keep running...

My wife and I went about two months ago while we were on holiday in Devon. It was a wet day and we were in the area so thought we would pop in. Some very nice motors and bikes but the hour we were in there, other than Frank, we saw no one else and when I commented it must have been busy as it was wet he said no not at all and we were two of a handful of visitors that day!

Sign of the times I guess.
