We attended an MVT event at the FAA Museum at Yeovilton this past weekend. The first time I have visited for about 15 years.

Just my Son and I so we were able to have a good look round. And what a fabulous Museum it is. I'm always particularly keen on wartime Aviation but my son is keen on the jet age.

I'm very passionate about restoration and preservation of Aircraft too, taking particular interest in the Hawker Typhoon Restoration and now seeing the on-going restoration work of the only remaining Fairey Barracuda at Yeovilton. I would love to get involved.

My son and I spent a very enjoyable day at the Fleet Air Arm museum during our visit to the UK last northern summer. Like you and your son, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Of particular interest to me was the "lift" that took us on a digital tour of your newest aircraft carrier. That was incredibly well done. It was hard to realise that we were not actually on the ship.

Its weird being the same age as old people.

Yes Keith, my son is 12 and going through the carrier was his highlight. I thought it was very impressive.
